RECAP:
Even though I was in Clearwater I still had some work to do so I logged in remotely on Monday to take care of some issues.  I got in a swim at the Clearwater YMCA and it was nice to just relax the rest of the day at the condo.

On Tuesday Clarke and I went out for an hour bike ride and view a little of the course.  I felt really tight at the start but then loosened up and had a great stretch session.  Started to get excited for the race.

Wednesday I did another swim at the YMCA and got in a quicker 4 mile run.  Calves were really tight afterwards and I was still a bit concerned.  Trying to stay positive though.  I also registered for the race on started to get everything put together.  My sister Sarah and her family came over to hang out for a while and it was great to see them.  The kids are growing up so fast.  Clarke picked up Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and finished it in one day.  Jen and I mainly watched.

On Thursday I swam in the gulf and it was terribly choppy.......just like Rhode Island 70.3 this year.  Very tough to swim.  I wore the wetsuit for half of the swim and the skinsuit for the other half just in case it wasn't wetsuit legal.  Later in the day I went for another ride with Clarke on the course.  Felt really good.  I played a lot of Grand Theft Auto IV to relax.  I'm getting good at mowing down pedestrians.

On Friday I took the bike out for a spin to check out the gearing and the brakes after putting the race wheels on.  Everything felt great.  Starting to get excited.  Went to the pro meeting at 2pm and was all set to go after checking my bike and bags in.  We had dinner with my sister's family and Jen's parents and I was off to bed at 9pm.

Saturday was race day.  I'll write up a separate report for the actual race.  Things didn't go so well for me and I was quite sore and frustrated after the race.  We went over to my sister's condo for pizza and I was exhausted.

On Sunday we packed up all of our gear and hit the road.  We arrived in Charlotte at around 8pm and picked up some chinese food and then were off to bed.
