Week In Review :: April 12th - April 18th
Claire won't stop badgering Watty. We've got "The Showdown" in the mountains next weekend and she told me in her best Macho Man Randy Savage voice to "Snap him in half like you're snapping into a Slim Jim....oh yeah".
Claire has been celebrating our victory all week and is all smiles. I told her not to count her chickens until they've hatched but all she heard was "chicken" and immediately went into a rant about Watty being a chicken.
Claire watched her first road race this weekend. She's pretty sure she could have dominated if we would have let her out of her car seat.
Jen holding our little cutie pie.
Enjoying a margarita while wearing my grandma's pink shades.
My first time rock climbing and bouldering at the Whitewater Center.
Last week we had my sister Sarah and Grandma in town from Thursday through Monday. I've designated
another post
specifically for that visit. This was also the second week that Jen has been back personal training. I have to say that the lack of sleep and hectic schedule are wearing me down mentally and physically. It just so happens that I'm also putting in a lot of bike miles to try and get ready for coaching the training camp in the mountains next weekend so the combination of all three is taking its toll. My body REALLY likes around 8-9 hrs of sleep per night so getting 5-7 broken hrs is not working for me. The accumulation of lost sleep is really affecting my mood and Jen lets me know that on a daily basis. I need to find an answer for this before I run her out of the house!!
CLAIRE:
Claire had quite the busy week last week! Here's a quick recap of what she's been up to:
* Was spitting up most of her milk early in the week and then stopped after a couple of days
* Skyped with Grandma & Grandpa Frank for the first time
* I tried to put her in crib for first time (use basinet now) and she couldn't fall asleep in it. Will slowly make that transition for her.
* She had visitors in town. My sister Sarah and Great Grandma Frank stayed with us from Thursday through Monday.
* She slept 5.5 hours through the night
* She is starting to stay awake longer during and after feeds
* She started to smile at us and it just lights up our day
* Got her 2 month shots at the doctor and didn't like that one bit
* Watched her first road race on Saturday morning and met a lot of people
